Sizing Up Your Heating Requirements

The success of every installation is totally dependent upon the accuracy of the initial specifications. We ask for your assistance concerning some basic observations and measurements as described in the diagram on this page. The overall time factor is reduced and our initial discussions will be more productive. Here is a guide to gather the preliminary dimensions. 
 
 

A. Front opening-brick to brick 
B. Wall to wall at rear 
C. Front to rear brick 
D. Base to angle iron 
E. Face of brick to back of angle iron 
F. Back of angle iron to fireplace brick 
G. Face of brick to front of hearth
 

1. Length of chimney* 
2.Outside dimension of the flue tile 
3.Inside dimension of the flue tile 
4. Outside dimension of the flue tile 
5. Inside dimension of the flue tile 


*Length of chimney - Measure from the top of the flue to the floor of the fireplace. Please note if there is bend in the path of the flue or if it is a straight run.
